Inside the Design
What began as a simple wish for a whiskey bar evolved into a true heirloom project. The client wanted a cabinet that would not only display his collection of Japanese whiskey but also carry a sense of permanence, something to be passed on to future generations.
Our design team proposed a bespoke version of the Olival Whiskey Cabinet, tailored with custom dimensions to perfectly fit the client’s bottles. The interior was lined with Patagonia granite, fully backlit to create a dramatic stage for the collection. Additional backlighting inside the cabinet enhanced its aura, turning each bottle into a jewel.
To make the piece even more personal, we incorporated an engraved inlay of the family name and enriched the interior with a curated set of Portuguese crystal glasses by Vista Alegre — a symbol of national heritage in fine craftsmanship.
