A Bespoke Project in Le Grand-Bornand, France

In the alpine village of Le Grand-Bornand, with sweeping views of the Mont Blanc massif, this chalet became the permanent home of a French client who chose to relocate here to be close to her family and embrace a life of tranquility. The project reflects not only the majesty of the surrounding landscape, but also a story of continuity and trust — brought to life through bespoke design. The client is the mother of a long-standing friend and client of ours in Portugal, for whom Greenapple created a full interior project back in 2018.

Inside the Design

This was more than just a project – it was a collaboration built on nearly a decade of trust with a French family who has become part of Greenapple’s own story. After previously designing an entire home in Portugal in 2018 for her daughter, we were invited to bring the same spirit of craftsmanship and intimacy to the mother’s new chalet in the Alps.

 

The challenge was significant: producing every single piece of furniture to fit the compact dimensions of a traditional mountain chalet, without compromising on comfort, functionality, or the unmistakable Greenapple aesthetic. Warm tones, premium-quality materials, and exquisite finishes embrace the Alpine scenery, creating the sensation of living inside a painting of nature’s finest work.

During the installation, we were received not as suppliers but as family – an experience that made the journey as meaningful as the final result.
