Bespoke Interior Design in Weybridge, Surrey
Set within the prestigious St George’s Hill Estate in Weybridge, Surrey, this modern classic mansion offered the ideal setting for a deeply expressive bespoke interior design project. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped private grounds and positioned in an exclusive setting closely associated with golf, privacy, and refined living, the residence combines grand architectural proportions with a strong sense of serenity.
This project took shape as a rehabilitation, with the client introducing architectural transformations that called for a new furnishing approach and a fully reimagined interior design language. A passionate art lover, she envisioned a home where every gesture would celebrate artistic expression — a residence in which architecture, furniture, and materiality could coexist as part of a carefully curated visual narrative.

From the outset, art played a defining role in the way the client envisioned the home. More than simply furnishing the residence, she wanted each space to celebrate artistic expression and to give prominence to the pieces displayed throughout the interiors. That creative openness became especially clear when she encouraged the team to think beyond the expected, saying:
“From my perspective please don’t feel anything is too much. I push boundaries.”
The project first began with the selection of a small number of Greenapple pieces, but quickly evolved into a much broader and more ambitious vision. As the design developed, bespoke pieces were created and a meeting was scheduled in London to approve material samples in person. This was followed by a site visit to confirm final dimensions, during which the client decided to extend the scope of the project to the remaining bedrooms and the poolside area, allowing the residence to unfold into a richer and more layered interior story.

In the dining area, the Olival Buffet was adapted specifically for the project to respond to the way the client intended to use the space. Reinterpreted as a functional support piece for the dining room, it was fitted with an integrated refrigerator, combining practicality with the sculptural presence and material refinement that define the overall project.
In the bar area by the pool, the design language drew from classical Greek references. Calacatta Cremo marble columns, crafted by Portuguese artisans and inspired by the Ionic order, introduced a sense of monumentality and rhythm to the space. Alongside them, a Patagonia granite wall and arched niches were created to display art pieces, reinforcing the project’s gallery-like sensibility while giving the room a strong architectural presence.

This language then evolved into a more distinctly Roman expression through the bar itself, conceived with reference to the Colosseum in Rome. Its sculptural form transformed the space into a true architectural centerpiece, giving the poolside area a theatrical and immersive quality that balanced grandeur with functionality.
In one of these rooms, Panda Marble was used to create a retroilluminated panel with an organic design and a distinctly dramatic presence. Bold and visually charged, the composition transformed the wall into a luminous focal point, bringing a more extravagant and artistic energy to the space.

Another bedroom took on a more fluid expression through a retroilluminated composition in White Onyx and Blue Onyx, paired with the Hug Bed, designed specifically for this project. The space was further defined by a carved wood wardrobe with indirect lighting and pivoting doors, whose opening is revealed through the slits in the wood, reinforcing the project’s recurring dialogue between organic form and architectural function.
This language became more tactile in a third room, where an L-shaped wood wall with the same carved effect concealed the door to the bathroom within the paneling itself. The space was completed by a wall art composition inspired by the design of Menir, combining Calacatta Viola marble, natural oak, and leather in a layered composition that brought warmth, depth, and material contrast to the room.
The master suite brought together the most elaborate material composition of the project. Fully paneled in marble, it combined Portoro marble with onyxes in different tones to create a dramatic and immersive setting.
The room was completed with custom-made bedside tables, the Twins Sofa, the Organ Sideboard created exclusively for the project, and unique green onyx art pieces, also developed as bespoke elements for the space.
Executed over two weeks in July 2022, the final installation became one of Greenapple’s most challenging and rewarding projects. It was a project that offered the freedom to work with rare materials in abundance, to push bespoke design further, and to create a home where every room carries its own narrative weight. The client’s satisfaction at the end of the process confirmed the success of this bespoke interior design project in Weybridge, defined by creative trust and material richness.
