Coastal Interior Design in Santander, Spain
Set in Santander, this private residence was designed for a lifestyle closely connected to the sea. Created for a writer, the project was developed to make the most of a small apartment, where living, dining, and working needed to coexist in a seamless and inspiring way. Framed by magnificent exterior views, the interiors were conceived to feel welcoming, integrated, and naturally suited to a calm coastal rhythm.
Across the living room, dining area, and home office corner, Greenapple curated an interior composition defined by comfort, texture, and functionality. The result is a home shaped by a refined approach to coastal interior design, where elegant forms, custom solutions, and resistant materials come together in a lighter, more relaxed atmosphere.

Inside the Design
This project was guided by both the home’s coastal surroundings and the lifestyle of its owner. Designed for a writer, the apartment needed to provide a warm and inspiring environment where everyday living could flow naturally alongside moments of work and creativity. The challenge was to create a fully integrated space that combined the living room, dining area, and a dedicated home office corner without compromising comfort or visual harmony.
Greenapple responded with a series of tailored solutions that brought versatility and character to the interiors. One of the central challenges of the project was adapting the Twins Sofa to work in relation to the dining table. A new custom piece was developed to ensure the right ergonomic balance, allowing the sofa to sit comfortably alongside an oval dining table, complemented by Laurence Chairs on the opposite side. This bespoke approach made it possible to preserve both functionality and aesthetic coherence within the limited space.
For the home office area, one of Greenapple’s consoles was customized specifically for the project, creating a refined writing corner designed to support the client’s creative routine. In the living area, the Twins Sofa is paired with the Caju Armchairs, reinforcing the project’s inviting and sophisticated atmosphere.
Material selection also played an important role in shaping this interior. Bouclé fabrics by Dedar were chosen for their tactile quality as well as their performance, offering washable, highly resistant solutions suitable for a home influenced by coastal living. This balance between elegance and practicality helped define the project, allowing the interiors to respond beautifully to both the surrounding environment and the client’s daily life.
