Luxury Home Bar Design for an Illinois Residence
Following an earlier collaboration on the entrance hall and master suite, Greenapple was invited back to continue shaping this private residence in Illinois. After visiting Greenapple in Portugal and experiencing the team, production process, and artisanal know-how firsthand, the clients returned to develop another important area of the home: a bar and music room connected both to the living area and the exterior, envisioned through a refined approach to luxury home bar design.
The result is a layered interior composition where sculptural furniture, custom adaptations, and architectural surfaces come together to shape a space dedicated to entertaining and everyday ritual — a project that expresses Greenapple’s ability to translate craftsmanship, material mastery, and distinctive design into highly personal interiors.

Inside the Design
Because Greenapple had already worked on the entrance and master bedroom, this new phase of the project developed from a strong foundation of familiarity and trust. The client returned with the intention of transforming the bar and music area adjoining the living room into a more distinctive and immersive setting, one that would feel both expressive and fully integrated with the rest of the home.
The challenge was to bring the atmosphere of the bar into the architecture of the room itself. Greenapple responded by translating the interior language of the Bongó Bar Cabinet into a bespoke backlit feature wall, combining brass and Patagonia granite to create depth, contrast, and a strong visual identity. This intervention became one of the defining gestures of the project, giving the room a more immersive and sophisticated presence, especially after dark.
Several custom pieces also emerged from the project. The Bottega Cocktail Tables were originally created for this interior and later became part of the Greenapple collection, adding both rhythm and functionality to the space. These were paired with Mary Bar Chairs, Caramulo Lounge Chairs, and a customized version of the Benagil Coffee Table, developed specifically for the project with a handmade glass top.
The result is a refined entertaining space defined by material expression and bespoke design — a project that deepened an existing client relationship while adding a new layer of sophistication through a highly tailored vision of luxury home bar design.
